– The support currently offered to parents of children who have been treated for cancer is insufficient, according to many parents. Therefore, it feels fantastic that we now have theLogo of EJDER opportunity to continue working on EJDeR!

EJDeR is an internet-administered guided self-help program, based on low-intensity cognitive behavioral therapy. It has been developed in cooperation with parents whose children have been treated for cancer.

– We will now further develop the EJDeR program together with a group of parents, says Louise von Essen. Thereafter, the plan is to conduct a pilot study in which some participants are invited to work with the new version of the program, while a control group only will be provided the support that is offered within the regular Swedish healthcare.

If the pilot study shows that EJDeR is effective andLogo of CHANGE that the study procedures work as planned, the randomized controlled trial CHANGE will be conducted. In that study, EJDeR will be evaluated thoroughly against the support that is offered within the regular Swedish healthcare.
