Faraja’s PhD is a part of the GuardiansCan project which aims to address the issue of low adherence among Tanzanian caregivers to children's follow-up care after cancer treatment. The focus of Faraja’s PhD project is the design of the mobile health support that will be used.

The biannual congress this year has the theme “Cancer in Africa: Implementation, Workforce, Opportunities”. Faraja’s oral presentations are titled “Development and feasibility of a mHealth intervention to improve guardians' adherence to children's leukemia treatment in Tanzania (GuardiansCan Project Protocol)” and “Informing the design and conduct of the guardians project by involving guardians of children with leukemia as public contributors (protocol)”.
