PhD project will investigate use of digital health records

The Centre for Medical Humanities has approved funding for a PhD project aiming to investigate how different actors in society interpret, understand and use digital health records, today and historically.

The PhD project will be part of the research project ’The Multifaceted Life of Digital Health Records: Between Official Documentation, Personal Information and Cultural Objects’. It is a multidisciplinary project covering medical informatics, archival science, and heritage science.

Professor Isto Huvila at the Department of Archives, Libraries, Museums will be main supervisor and Docent Maria Hägglund at the Department of Women’s and Chilren’s Health will be co-supervisor.
